Democracy Cup Award
The Democracy Cup will recognize institutions of higher education for outstanding efforts to increase civic-mindedness through campus-wide voter registration, education and awareness campaigns. Institutions will be rewarded for initiatives that provide quality voter education on candidates and issues, promote and increase the number of student voter registrations, and expand student voter turnout on election day.

iVote Florida is an extension of National Campus Compact's 2008 Campus Vote Initiative aimed to "encourage higher education institutions to help educate and empower students."

Belle Glade Nursing Students Educate Children on Tobacco's Dangers
Fourteen first semester nursing students at PBCC Belle Glade took a giant step forward in service learning this spring by volunteering to participate in a pilot tobacco education program for elementary students at four area schools.

UCF's Honors Service-Learning Program Lauded as 'Leading Example in Nation'
The semester-long Honors Symposium is on the cutting edge of service learning because it integrates substantial field work with the rigor of an academic course, national experts say. The graded course is required of all 480 freshmen during their incoming semester.
